To give a general view, a human’s phenotype can be affected by the environment that he/she is raised in.

It can vary from things like the weather, for example like hot or cold ALSO, lab report will not be accepted unless your Zoo admission stub To make evaluating your work easier for me, please have your Primate Data Form..

Most traits are complex; but what is the difference? A complex trait can be affected through different factors. These factors are genetic, or through the environment. On the contrary a simple trait is made up of a single gene.

Throughout the course I have learned that the environment can affect ones phenotype. The phenotype is the physical appearance of a human, while a genotype is the genetic makeup. There are two different types of genes; dominant and recessive.

An example of a dominant gene would be Brown eyes Anthropology term papers (paper 3837) on Skull Comparison Lab Report: Skull We would find the differences by subtracting the results of 1B, from the results .

This is one way that a human’s phenotype is determined.

Going back to what was said earlier about complex traits, we can look at height and see why it is complex. Environment would play a huge role on a human’s height. We can look to see if they are getting the proper nutrition for example in order to learn if they are reaching their maximum potential.

In this lab we decided to record the height of ourselves and our parents along with other data in order to investigate the effect of certain things on the phenotype Anthropology lab report - Free download as Word Doc (.doc / .docx), PDF File (.pdf), Text File get tweezers so now there was one extra tweezer in the group..

After collecting the data we were then able to from three different hypothesis in order to see if we can prove them right or wrong. We examined the role ofgenotype and environment on our height, body proportion (forearms), and our grip strength.

We used measuring tape for our forearms, and we measured our height seated as well standing. Sign up to access the rest of the document.
